Backlinks
A listing is not always a backlink
Many directories mark their links nofollow, send them through a redirect, or keep the page out of search. After every verified listing, we read the page and record what the link to your site actually is.
We report what each listing gave you. We do not promise rankings, traffic or a Domain Rating number: those depend on far more than one link.

Followed
A direct link with no nofollow, on a page search engines can crawl and index.

Nofollow
The link is marked nofollow, ugc or sponsored, or the whole page tells search engines not to follow its links.

Redirect
The link passes through the directory's own redirect first, so what search engines credit to you is unclear.

Not indexable
The link is followed, but the page is marked noindex or blocked by robots.txt.

Not visible
The page loads its link with JavaScript or could not be read, so we say so instead of guessing.

FAQ
Questions founders ask
Will this raise my Domain Rating?
It can help when a listing gives you a followed link from an established site. Many directories use nofollow links, though, and Domain Rating is a third-party score that depends on far more than directory listings.
We tell you exactly which listings gave you a followed link. We do not promise a number.
What happens after I pay?
You come back to a private order page. Once the payment is confirmed, usually within seconds, it asks for a two-minute brief about your product. Then the work starts, and the same page shows each directory as it moves to submitted, live or failed.
How do I get back to my order page?
The browser you paid in opens it directly. The page also shows a private link for other devices. If you lose it, email us from the address you paid with and we will send a new one.
Which directories do you submit to?
Launch platforms, startup and software directories, and the free profiles on software review sites, from our directory database, that accept your product's categories and list products for free. Article sites and paid listings do not count towards a plan. Directories that list you only if your site shows their badge are used only if you agree to that in your brief.
What if my product fits fewer directories than my plan?
Your order page says so as soon as the brief is in, with the number, before any work is done. Write to us and we will sort it out with you.
Is everything automated?
No, and we say so. Some directories can be submitted to end to end. Others need a person for a step, such as a CAPTCHA, an emailed code or an account sign-in, and a person on our side does it.
Do you pay for listings?
Not as part of a plan. A paid option is only ever taken with your approval of the exact amount, currency and directory.
What do you need from me?
Your product's name, website, tagline, a short description, categories, stage and pricing model. A logo and a longer description help with many directories. We do not add claims you did not make.
